The poncho is made of acrylic, perfect if you want a warm material but don't like wool. Warms like wool, washes like wool at 30 degrees in the machine.
The material is slightly water-repellent so if it rains, the rain won't go through right away.

Material: acrylic. Wash: 30 degrees in the machine, do not tumble dry.
